Normally I'm not one to rant, or say anything, but I've had some interesting thoughts today....

I was grumpy in the begining... Hadn't chatted with a good friend for several days due to technical problems.... Wasn't able to get my licsense plate renewed due to OTHER technical problems.... Got called a slacker for not focusing on the problem right then and their.... I was overly annoyed.

So, I went to the mall, spent a hundred dollars on DVD'S, and on the way back to my truck I see a disabled person in a wheel chair.... I don't think he was physicly disabled, but he was definitly mentally disabled if the druel was any indication. The lady he was with saw the handicap bus pull up and started wheeling him to the door, and I did the poliete thing, and held it open for the half minute it took her to get him over their.

When she was out, she smiled at me, and said 'Thank You.'

I replied, 'Not a problem.'

Just like that, in those thirty seconds my mood was reversed from angry and grumpy, to content and grinning... In fact, on the drive home, I even slowed down to let a person enter my lane, I was so happy with the world.

It made me think.... I'm powerless when it comes to changing the world.... But when it comes to earning that feeling, earning that 'Thank You'... I can do that whenever I want... And it's definitly worth the reward.
